We are not reading submissions at the moment.
For books we publish after 30th October 2024, our updated terms will be as follows:
We read emailed Word files of finished collections of poetry in either A4 or A5 format, accompanied by a contact sheet (full name, postal address, telephone and any website or social website addresses.) Font should be Calibri, Times New Roman (or the current default Word font) 12-point.
If we accept your submission, the following terms will apply when we begin work:

We will be glad to answer any questions you have. Our email address for enquiries and submissions is: [email protected], or use our Contact page.
If we accept your submission, the following terms will apply when we begin work:
- We will format your book to our preferred size of 148 x 210 mm (A5) and lay it out for printing, adding title, verso, and contents pages plus any (optional) dedication, acknowledgements, introduction and notes you want to add. We do not allow new poems to be added once we start work on the text.
- We will design a cover.
- We will supply our ISBN and add it to the back cover of the book, and register it with Neilsen.com and the UK National Libraries, supplying the libraries with copies when it's printed. The title will then be accessible to a search on Amazon (which should give you an option for you to sell your copies.)
- We will arrange for printing and supply 100 copies at 50% of RRP for you to distribute/sell in any way and at any price you wish. (The books will be sent directly to you from the printer, which enables us to export them to a country outside the UK.) Reprints will be available to you through us, for 12 months after printing, at 30% RRP + £8 postage (or £10 postage to Ireland and EU).
- We will add a page about you and the book to our website, with a link to any website or email address where your book can be ordered from you. (we shall not be selling from our website.)
- We will advertise your book on our weekly newsletter for the 12 months after we publish it.
- We will offer and host an online Zoom launch of your book, and edit and send you an optional video of the event.
- As ever, we shall do all of this while in consultation with you, mainly by email.
- You retain copyright on all the poems. We hold copyright on our edition of them for five years or until we write to you to relinquish our copyright..
- If you accept these terms, we will send you our contract and an invoice for a deposit of £250.00 on beginning work on your manuscript, and an estimate of the RRP. The balance will be due when you accept the printed proof copy of the book that we'll send to you and we order the run of 100 copies to be sent to you.
