Ruth Taaffe is from Manchester, England. She has lived across the Pennines in Sheffield, in the milder South and further afield in Thailand, Australia and Singapore, with her husband and two sons. She writes about home, family and memory, the experience of living overseas and how the natural environment finds its way into our identity. As an English teacher Ruth has taught in the UK and in international schools for over twenty five years. She has a Masters degree in Creative Writing from Lancaster University and her poems have been published, both online and in print, in the UK and internationally.
