Signals from the Other
by Jennie Osborne
Jennie Osborne lives in South Devon. She is the Stanza Rep for Poetry Teignmouth and one of the Teignmouth Poetry Festival organisers. She is an occasional Poetry School tutor and ran many workshops in the area until Covid intervened. An active member of Dartmoor-based Moor Poets, she has edited two of their popular anthologies as well as appearing in them all. Since the 1990s, her work has been published in numerous magazines and journals and she has won the Kent and Sussex Poetry Prize as well as the Ware Sonnet Prize and has been placed or commended in a number of other competitions. She has two previous collections, How To Be Naked and Colouring Outside the Lines, both from Oversteps Books. Much of her work has involved collaboration with visual artists and musicians, and in 2022 she has a series of events planned with jazz and improvising musicians, including working as special guest with the Day Evans Dale Ensemble, live and on a recording for the Discus record label.
